Note on Primary Sources
Primary Sources in the context used here are any evidence in the form of a document (including biographies, memoirs, public or official records, as well as any documentation of previous oral traditions), an artifact (including inscriptions on pottery or tombstones), and any other source of information produced at or around the time under study (1st century BCE to 4th Century CE).
I have added a link to online renderings, when available, in either the original Greek or Latin as well as English. In choosing the digital versions of these sources may only aim is to make a version of the evidence accessible to those interested as a tool for further research. However, I do not assume responsibility for the availability or content of these websites beyond the primary sources.
