Irene
Martyred in Saloniki, CE 304.
According to a court record written by Artemisius under the prefect Dulcitius, Irene, was arrested together with her sisters Agape and Chione. The record states that these three young and new converts to Christianity refused to take part in sacrificial rituals for the Roman gods and to revoke their devotion to their God. As a result, they were sentenced to death by fire.
